LABORATORY

Service of testing, control and calibration of meters

EWG Control Laboratory (part of EWG Company) is an accredited laboratory for testing and control, by the decision of the Accreditation Board of Serbia (ATS, www.ats.rs), number 89/2012 29th Feb 2012, (accreditation certificate and scope of accreditation) , as a control body type C, according to ISO / IEC 17020:2002 intended for providing a service of testing, control and calibration of electricity meters, of both EWG meters other domestic and foreign manufacturers.

  • Laboratory in a function of the control body type C is qualified and utilized for measurement and testing of electrical and material size of meters, calibration and control, verification and certification criteria, type tests etc.

The laboratory has all necessary resources to meet the requirements of SRBS ISO 17020/17025, ATS requirement, applicable laws and regulations that ensure entrusting the task of calibration, review and certification criteria by the Directorate of Measures and Precious Metals (DMDM , www.dmdm.rs).

In accordance with the approved EWG policy of quality and The law on standardization laboratory is accredited by ATS for inspection, testing and control of electronic meters for active and reactive electrical energy (single phase and three phase meter, measuring groups for direct, semi direct and indirect measurement) and the control of purchased products (materials, parts and components for the production of meters), control and evaluation processes.

Laboratory activities are grouped as:

  • Periodical testing of meters
  • Functional testing of meters
  • Meters certifications
  • Tests and measurements of electrical quantities,
  • Other tests and measurements run on the products and raw materials EWG.

  • continuous improvement of methods of controlling, testing and calibration, personnel competency and professionalism

The quality of service, accuracy and reliability of test results and calibration is achieved by consistent application of principles of good laboratory practice (GLP (Good Laboratory Practice, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Good_Laboratory_Practice)), Quality system according to the requirements of the series standards ISO 9000, ISO / IEC 17000, and other current standards and in compliance with the rules and under the supervision of DMDM, as the first (default) review criteria and standards as well as periodic review after the expiry date of certification or after a meter repair.
