PLC communication


PLC SFSK modem

uses existing power supply cables to transmit data from the meter to the substation (concentrator). EWG has certifications for G3 communication, which uses OFDM signal modulation for data transmission over power cables.

RS485 modul

The latest versions of EWG meters have an RS485 connector built into the measuring part of the meter at auxiliary ports A and B. In older versions, the RS485 connector is not an integral part of the meter, so an RS485 module is added to the meter to enable the functionality of connecting the EWG meter to the RS485 bus.
