This Privacy Notice explains how EWG processes personal data through this website, in email and other business correspondence, and in connection with its business activities, including the manufacture and support of electricity meters and communication devices, customer and supplier relations, authorized inspection activities, technical support, quality management, complaint handling and related operations.

This Notice does not replace any separate privacy notice that may apply to employees, candidates, users of specific platforms, portals or services, where such notice is separately provided.

2. Scope of this Notice

This Notice applies to personal data processed by EWG when you:

  • • contact us by email, telephone or contact form;
  • • represent or work for a customer, distributor, utility, supplier, contractor, authority, accreditation body, inspection body or other business partner;
  • • submit a complaint, objection, request or other business communication;

  • • apply for a job or otherwise send us professional information.

In some projects, systems or contractual arrangements, EWG may process personal data only on the documented instructions of a customer or another controller. In such cases, EWG may act as a processor or sub-processor, and a separate privacy notice of that controller may also apply.

Depending on the context, EWG may process the following categories of personal data:

  • • recruitment data, such as CVs, qualifications, work history and other information provided during an application process;

Please do not send us special categories of personal data or other highly sensitive information unless it is necessary and lawfully justified.

4. How we obtain personal data

  • • from our customers, distributors, suppliers, service providers and other business partners;
  • • from public sources, business registers, professional networks or official records;
  • • from competent authorities, regulators, accreditation bodies or other institutions where relevant to a lawful business process.
